Maenam Hills sits on a green hillside in Mae Nam, a residential part of Koh Samui's north coast, a short drive from Mae Nam Beach and well away from the busy strips at Chaweng. It is family-run, and the family is on hand through your stay. The villas are set around a shared pool and a Thai sala in a tropical garden, with private parking on site. Depending on where a villa sits, you look out over the garden, the hillside or the sea.

It works for a two-week holiday and just as well for a season. Monthly stays get 10% off, contracts run up to six months and can be renewed, and housekeeping comes every week, so a long stay doesn't turn into a chore.

The two-bedroom villas

Each villa is about 132 m² over two floors. You get two air-conditioned bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room and dining area, a private terrace or balcony, a Smart TV, Wi-Fi and a washing machine. Weekly maid service and a weekly change of linen are included. Couples, families, friends traveling together and remote workers all fit comfortably.

The one-bedroom apartments

Maenam Hills also has one-bedroom apartments for couples, solo travelers and long-stay guests: an air-conditioned bedroom, private bathroom, kitchen or kitchenette, living space, Wi-Fi, TV, and either a balcony with a view or a ground-floor terrace in the garden. They share the pool, sala and parking. Photos and rates for the apartments are on their way from the owners, and we'll add them here.

Mae Nam

Mae Nam is the calm side of Samui. The beach is long and quiet, there are local restaurants, markets and shops close by, and the ferry piers to Koh Phangan are a few minutes up the road. You're about 20 minutes from the airport and within easy reach of Bophut's Fisherman's Village when you want a night out.
